EVENT POSTERS

This series of event posters are to promote events that are occurring locally and globally to gain audience’s interest to participate. The project’s central concept was to grasp the understanding of crucial principles of a typographical layout design. Hierarchy was an important principle incorporated into the design to highlight the most significant component of the piece followed by subdominant components in a structural sequential order. Given that hierarchy and rhythm are at play with one another, rhythmic elements emphasized the hierarchical structure of the piece through intriguing visual elements that gave movement to the composition. As much as hierarchy and rhythm are at play, rhythm and texture are just as interrelated. Texture enhances the rhythm of the page which gives the piece dimension to the surface quality of the work. The incorporation of compositional flow through the use of counter-forms and focal points was vital to guide the eye through the design. Ultimately, the application of vital typographical layout principles allowed for the flourishment of this design piece.
